eBuilt Brand Identity and Marketing Materials
In July 2023, Clayton, a leading national builder of attainable single-family housing, introduced eBuilt®, a new housing solution focused on energy efficiency, sustainability, and innovation. Designed to meet the U.S. Department of energy’s Zero Energy Ready Home specifications, eBuilt homes aim to help reduce the impact of rising energy costs while supporting attainable homeownership. Clayton Home Building Group engaged me to develop the eBuilt brand identity and visual communication system. My work included creating the logo, color palette, typography, marketing collateral, point-of-sale materials, signage, and digital assets to introduce and promote the new initiative to customers and retail partners.
My approach began with research and design strategy to better understand the eBuilt brand, its audience, market positioning, and competitive landscape. These insights helped shape a visual identity that felt connected to the existing Clayton Built brand while giving eBuilt its own distinct look and personality. The design was created to feel modern and approachable while reflecting eBuilt’s focus on innovation, sustainability, and energy-efficient living.
The identity was designed to work across a variety of customer and retail touchpoints. Deliverables included marketing support binders with flyers and resources for retail partners, window decals, fridge magnets, point-of-sale decals, table tents, t-shirts, retail signage, and other marketing materials. Each piece was designed to work together as part of a consistent and recognizable brand experience. The result was a cohesive visual system that helped communicate eBuilt’s value and vision while giving retail partners the tools they needed to introduce the brand and engage customers.
